For these portraits, I focused a lot on posing the models. I don't feel that posing comes naturally to me so giving direction was a bit difficult. I went out a couple of times to take pictures of some friends but finally on this last shoot, the poses seemed to come more naturally. The environmental shot is of two of my friends playing "Just Dance" on the wii. This is definitely something that happens in my apartment often and an environment that these girls are comfortable in. When taking portraits, I also realized that getting a good angle on the subjects is key. I tried many different angles to see what ones worked the best.

  1. Your portraits were very well done! You kept the angles interesting and did a good job posing them in a natural way. I especially like the angle of your friend on the bench and I think that's a great portrait. Even though they were outside in the snow you still found lots of color to have around them so the pictures weren't washed out. I think that color really enhanced the photos. Good job.

  2. Good job on your portraits. I really like the way you positioned your subjects. There is a good variety and you composed the shots well. The last one does seem dark, so maybe you could have played around a little with the lighting. It would also create more interest. Good job with the edits, especially those done to the picture of the baby. You really brought out the colors, and changing the color of the pacifier to purple really gives a good contrast. The first one still seems washed out, but good job.
